Work with Victims of Crime

Victim in meeting with victim service staff member

West Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company works with the victims of domestic violence offences where their male partners or ex-partners are serving a community sentence, which includes a domestic violence group.

Through this work, the safety of women and their children can be monitored throughout and the appropriate actions taken. Our Women's Safety Officers work closely with the facilitators running the domestic violence groups. This means they can confirm whether what the man says about his home circumstances or relationship with his victim is correct. Women's Safety Officers are also able to feed back progress of the man on the group to his victim.

Further work with victims of serious crimes is carried out by The National Probation Service.
