Kirklees and Wakefield

The Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees has a population of 401,000 and includes the settlements of Batley, Birstall, Cleckheaton, Denby Dale, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, Huddersfield, Kirkburton, Marsden, Meltham, Mirfield and Slaithwaite.

Huddersfield is the largest settlement of the district, and its centre of administration.

There are two probation offices in Kirklees, one in Dewsbury and one in Huddersfield.

Wakefield is situated on the river Calder on the eastern edge of the Pennines. It has a total population of 315,172.

There are two probation offices in Wakefield including the West Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company head office.
